Maria C Bernhardsson's original artworks are influenced by the architecture and geometry of houses. Born in Sweden, Bernhardsson travels the world photographing and sketching houses to use as inspiration for her canvas and paper artworks. Her paintings include subtle layering of colors and shadows of individual houses in conjunction with the overall feeling of gazing at a collection of buildings in an abstract urban landscape. Playful details such as flowers and animals complete her one-of-a-kind artworks and make the houses feel like homes.
