Chinese framed porcelain landscape plaque by Master Zhang Zhitang, a finely drawn, Qianjiang style landscape signed with two seal marks, with a blue glazed meander border around the perimeter, in the original, finely carved, Chinese, heavy, hardwood frame with original Chinese bronze hanger. Circa ROC period, no later than mid century.
In the foreground is a small temple near rocky riverbanks, surrounded by fruit trees, pines and shrubs. Further shores depict mountain hermitages near rocky shores amid towering, forested palisades covered in misty clouds, that fade to distance in traditional Chinese aerial perspective.
