Born the late 19th century, exquisitely detailed, featuring a four pen or writing instrument rest modeled as antlers atop a sculptural stag deer head, flanked by the original pair of square crystal glass inkwells with silver lids, fitted on an ornate, richly decorated tray with stylized foliate and shell border, resting on bun feet. Signed, hallmarked verso, including James Dixon & Sons trumpet symbol.

A superb, exceedingly rare example, exceptionally executed, and highly decorative, sure to add a touch of sophisticated elegance to any space.

Excellent condition. Original antique condition. Presents splendidly, with beautiful, nicely aged patina. Very minor wear, including small chips to glass inkwells and expected patinated tarnish that does not detract from the overall display but only adds to the antique character and charm. less
