Late 1970's early 1980's; is this stylish, Contemporary set, and/or pair of "iconic," Bull & Bear Brass bookends, mounted on contemporary modern and sleek plinth's of Verdigris marble bases. The marble plinths have a beveled edge surround to top edge. The Bear and Bull are butting heads up, "proverbial Stock Market iconography, sure to enhance any; office, den, library, reading room, Man cave, etc. accents for that special man, a Stockbroker whose ego requires the patina of visual enhanced aura, or better yet, good design meets good function, stock sturdy, stable and heavy handed. Some minute patina to brass, we think previous party polished and removed the lacquer seal. We took the liberty to fully polish the brass sections, and enliven these two stubborn animals, toward's a glean onto the future pastures. From a Palm Beach Island, Florida Estate. Great condition, except for one small flea bite on the marble of the bull, at edge of marble, near the back right hind leg area, otherwise very well -maintained and preserved for era.
