The manufacture of Vincennes Porcelain was founded in 1740 in the castle of Vincennes, a town east of Paris; in 1756 the factory moved to Sèvres, a town halfway between the Tuileries and Versailles, becoming one of the best porcelain factories in the world. The marks of Sèvres are countless and are divided into two major periods, the first period: ancient from the origin of the factory to 1800, the second period: modern from 1800 up to us. In our vintage service of the '50s, the artisans wanted to pay homage to the glorious past of their prestigious company by resuming the very first brand formed by 2 L cursive capital opposite (initial of Louis XV) with the letter W in the center, painted in black in goldfield under the paint.
