Spanish warriors / conquistadors adorn the middle of each … more Amazing pair of high back ornately carved throne style arm chairs. Spanish warriors / conquistadors adorn the middle of each chair. Wonderful decorative elements including scrolls, foliate, and shells in pierced carving. Legs and bottom cross bars are particularly fabulous as well.

These chairs were made in America during the 1920's or 1930's with an European flair. It was the Spanish Renaissance Revival furniture that was designed to go into the Mediterranean style homes that were so popular at this time period. Details are borrowed from the Jacobean and Gothic design elements.

Chairs are the original finish but have been re-upholstered. Re-glued so that they are solid. Some older restoration can be seen over its many years.
