A black transfer of a boudoir scene; a woman in period dress, standing in her bedroom. Geometric tiled flooring, columns and distant treetops make up an especially charming image. A complex, wide floral border follows the rim. The title, “La Femme de Chambre” is printed on the plate.

An impressed makers mark on the verso, Valentin Paillart and Hippolyte Hautin, the P&H Choisy shield.
