On the body, twelve Chinese maidens practicing various Chinese arts in a garden of pines, palms,and shrubs, amid a low garden wall with scholar's rocks, distant mountains depicted beyond and also represented on the four-panel screen at center, all finely drawn and framed by Ru Yi borders at the top of the body and at the extended foot. The foot is embellished with an ornate blue and white floral border above a blue and white meander border. Blue glazed Qianlong reign mark to the inset white glazed base. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid-century. See less
