A very unusual hand made Chinese ginger jar with its' original lid. The hand painted shaded blue decoration features three, double happiness symbols on the sides with stylised auspicious bats in-between the panels. Palest of blue drip glaze.
Ovoid/round in shape, complete with lid that features three further bats. Small imperfections can be seen in the porcelain which are totally appropriate for the age of the piece.
An ususual ginger jar as well as an auspicious & decorative item for the home.
