If you are a lover of mid-century art AND butterflies....boy do we have a great piece for you!! This framed butterfly artwork is extremely large and substantial...the largest we have come across. The original wooden frame is ultra 1960's with beautiful carved detailing and subtle gilded detailing. The artwork itself was arranged on a base of textured, cream / off-white textile with a long dried floral branch around which 8 very large and beautiful butterflies are placed! The arrangement is stunning and the butterfly specimens are in excellent condition ranging in colors from iridescent blue to brown to purple. The backside of the frame boasts it's original artwork, showing that this was made in California, U.S.A. It has a universal metal wire for easy hanging on any wall. The wire is situated for the art to hang long ways (portrait).
