It features an iconic photographic image originally created by Klein in 1963 titled " Antonia + Simone Chez Le Coiffeur, New York 1963 ", from some of his most popular work of fashion models in the streets of New York, Rome, and Paris for Vogue Magazine, 1963.
William Klein ( B. 1928 ) is an American born French photographer and filmmaker of a Jewish background. He is recognized for his ironic approach to both media and his extensive use of unusual photographic techniques in the context of photojournalism and fashion photography. originally trained as a painter under Fernand Leger, he achieved worldwide fame as a fashion photographer and for his photo essays on various international cities, as well he is a director of feature films, documentaries and television commercials.
Klein's work was considered revolutionary in its time for its ambivalent and ironic approach to the world of fashion, and for its uncompromising rejection of the then prevailing rules of photography, and for its extensive use of wide angle and telephoto lenses, natural lighting and motion blur. Along with Robert Frank, he is considered among the fathers of Street Photography . Klein's long and prolific career has earned him many international awards. He is considered to be among the most influential photographers worldwide.
