A beautiful hand painted tea cup and saucer. A nice addition to a collection of tea cups.
Of fine German porcelain, both pieces are of a classic lobed quatrefoil form popular in Germany and Austria in the 19th century, an oval four sided cup and a deep dish saucer.
Renaissance Revival Style
They are wonderfully hand painted over the entire surface with birds and flowers, swirls and flourishes in shades of red, blue and gold, on a creamy colored ground. Exquisite!
Cup measures 3.5" by 2", the saucer measures about 5.75" diameter.
