A … more Exquisite, Neoclassical style, Italian soapstone still fountain or birdbath depicting Poseidon and Amphitrite, god and goddess of the sea. A large fluted basin is ornamented with a central decorative element of scrolls and acanthus. The terminus figures on the pedestal have intertwining arms which wrap around the central support. The lower portions of the figures have acanthus decoration and terminate in large scrolls. They rest on a substantial base with inverted corners. Dimensions: 43.5"W x 44.5"H x 30"D.
