One corner on the tabletop has a slight split at the seam where the inlaid dovetail joint is and should probably be glued back but only for cosmetic enhancement if desired since it doesn't affect the the table structurally. The base also shows cosmetic wear related to age. Please view the photos carefully as they all show the flaws mentioned above. less

A beautiful rare piece from Drexel's very sought-after mid century modern Parallel line from the early 1960s. Drexel, although known for quality, was never the most progressive furniture maker when it came to modernism but with Parallel designer Barney Flagg created probably the company's most "Danish" designs during the mid century era and definitely some of its most beautiful too! This square side table is made of solid teak with a 4-star pedestal base floating on top of four black porcelain ball feet. The tabletop has beautiful inlaid dovetail joints on all four corners. A lot of charm and beauty in one piece.
