Very fine porcelain candle holder designed by Carl Harry Stalhane for RORSTRAND Pottery in the 1950s. Features a flaring trumpet form in varying brown and white glazes. Marked plainly on the bottom with the three crown R for Rorstrand and CHS for Carl Harry Stalhane and SWEDEN.
The form is the opposite of what is the typical trumpet form with the broadest part of the holder on the top and the narrower on the bottom. The top diameter measures 4.25", the bottom diameter is 2.25" and the height is 5.1". The candle hole is 7/8" diameter.
The foot ring is unglazed and the candle chamber is also unglazed.
