The birds were from a book on the birds of North America but are less know due to the fact it was overshadowed by John J. Audubon's Birds of North America that were published just a few short years after this book. This image was illustrated by Alexander Wilson and hand colored with water color at the time it was published around 1832. The original image was scanned and edited by CFA Editions and is a beautiful example of early American Natural History Studies. This new reproduction print is the highest quality reproduction on the market and the colors are not only gorgeous but also have a light fastness of 160 years (aka will not fade for a long time) It measures 24 inches wide and 30 inches tall. A client requested this size of 24x30 so we removed a little of the excess paper at the top to make it perfect. If the other 2 sizes we have listed here (40x52 and 24x36) are too large this may be the perfect fit for you. See less
