- This chandelier has been rewired to meet US electrical standards and takes 5 lights: 2 candelabra and 3 base light … moreThis chandelier has been rewired to meet US electrical standards and takes 5 lights: 2 candelabra and 3 base light bulbs. Each light bulb can use up to a maximum of 60 watts. We recommend using LED lights because they help preserve antique fixtures longer. Antique fixtures must be adapted to modern homes. This fixture requires a canopy and chain that is not included to hang from the ceiling. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics on installing antique lighting. The alabaster bowl has a deeper vein, which is natural due to its mineral composition and may be confused for a crack, but there are no cracks. The alabaster is hand carved so there might be some slight imperfections that make this chandelier one of a kind. The top of alabaster bowl rim has etching that might be confused for cracks but are part of the design. The inner bowl has minor burns that have been repaired. The burns were caused by putting in light bulbs more than 60 watts hot, that rubbed against the alabaster. This blemish, in no way, distracts from the loveliness of the alabaster and is not seen outside the bowl. The chandelier also has light scratches throughout. Patina on the bronze is normal and due to the antiqueness as well. The frosted glass flame shades are all intact. We will be happy to provide additional images upon request. less

This ethereal chandelier has a delicately carved creamy white alabaster bowl that gives off a soft warm light. Three lovely hand cast bronze mermaids surround the bowl holding a torch consisting of a frosted flame shade that encases the light. From the bottom, looking up, the sweet faces of the sirens smile and wave. This delightful chandelier would be a conversation piece in any room.
