"Korzenik, Diana born, 1941
Born March 15, 1941, in New York, NY; daughter of Harold (a lawyer) and Lillian (an art expert; maiden name, Shapiro) Korzenik. Education: Oberlin College, B.A., 1961, M.A., 1970; Harvard University, Ed.D., 1972; also attended Yale Norfolk Art School, 1959, Vassar College, and New York Studio School.
CAREER: Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, professor of art education emeritus, department chair, 1972–87. Harvard University, visiting lecturer. Curator of exhibits; lecturer; consultant. Collector of historical American art educational materials; collection donated to Huntington Library, 1998. Longfellow House, member of advisory board; Friends of Longfellow House (advocacy group), founder.
MEMBER: National Art Education Association, Ephemera Society of America, Caucus for Social Theory and Art Education, Boston Athenaeum, Massachusetts Historical Society, American Antiquarian Society.
AWARDS, HONORS: Woodrow Wilson fellow and Ford Foundation fellow, 1962; award from New York State Professional Women, 1968; grant from J.P. Getty Trust, 1985; Laurence L.
