Vintage; 1999, Original Donghia, Venetian handblown Murano lamp in a clear/transparent Murano with silver leaf inclusions throughout, but the body of the lamp is thick-walled and hollow, with a sculptural embodiment, fluid with an overall blown swirl effect, that spans outwards, but given the thickness and weight, a sound sturdiness. The swirl effect is at a angular direction, as images indicate, as the swirls also are what take one the ribbing throughout. Attached to the brushed nickel hardware are 2 brushed nickel chain pulls, with a slim handle. The name, "Carosello," In Italian means Carousel, and/or Merry Go-Round, which bares the name and is synonymous to this swirl effect instituted in the creative process which also formed the body of this thick Murano lamp. European rayon silk-wrapped cording, (original), and 7ft. long, of beige rayon, twisted cord, which exits at back of base, with the Maker's marking etched onto the glass and below the cord exit area. This original wiring mode, are all original to all Donghia Lamps, manufactured by Seguso Murano Foundry, exclusively for Donghia Showrooms Lighting. Prdct. Item #80053-02 Clear Glass with Silver Leaf Inclusions with brushed nickel hardware. Round, flat top with a flat base bottom Finial top, also in the same Murano finish, clear with silver leaf inclusions.
Original Cylindrical round shade is also included, with the preceding information. .Textile name is Paloma, Item Pattern # 4910-08 almond/cream. Donghia Shades were produced,/manufactured with this specific Donghia Textile, in minimal colorations of 4910-08/09/10/18/28 (taupe, greige,/gray black, cream or off-white and brown originally there were more coloration of this textile, that the shades were made of, but it was reduced to the more minute, and neutral tones.
