Details:
Silk runner is fully lined with a fuchsia pink silk fabric (matching perfectly with the ensemble) and completely interfacing for durability, maintain the shape and a perfect finished.
A matching and lovely finished, professionally sewn at the ends, give the perfect finishing touch making it the perfect table decor for when you are entertaining guests.
This table runner is made using Three layers of materials: a top layer, a bottom layer and one layer of fusible interfacing that is sandwiched between the top and bottom layers.
I consider the FUSIBLE INTERFACING, wich has a fabric ‘glue' on one side, the Only one that still holding up pretty well after long times. What it is absolutely necessary for a table runner!
I used Fusible Interfacing to give additional strength, support to the table runners making them extremely durable keeping its perfect shape.
Professionally finished for durability: interior seams are over locked.
SIZE: 14X80, included fringe.

DIFFERENCE BETWEN GENUINE SILK AND ARTIFICIAL SILK:
Most of the fabric called SILK are NOT GENUINE SILK but ARTIFICIAL SILK.
Genuine and high-quality silk will always be relatively expensive. Synthetic fibres like polyester can be made to look like real silk to the untrained eye. Although synthetic fabrics can be deliberately priced high, low prices usually indicate the fabric is not genuine silk. Real silk usually costs at least ten times as much as synthetics to produce.
Silk Lustre is different from other fabrics.
It is shimmering. The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fiber, which allows silk cloth to refract incoming light at different angles, thus producing different colors. This “shot” effect gives a surface that "shines” and appears to change colour as the angle of light on it changes. Synthetic fabrics shine white, no matter what the angle of the light.
