I initially received a vision of a beautiful girl alone with nature, holding a vessel with which to capture rain symbolic of food and sustenance, but it transformed as I painted into a fantastical scene of her capturing and sharing optimism in the form of wise phrases and mantras. I hope to transport you to a place of wonder. A serene and energetic oasis. A beautiful and wise earth goddess with healthy bronzed skin is energized at night within a natural forest realm alongside a riverway. She is surrounded by magical orbs and intertwined with lush floral vines. She has an inner strength and her body shows movement and action even while reclining.
I created this piece using acrylic and acrylic-enamel paint on an un-stretched canvas. It is signed in oil paint pen. The un-stretched canvas has a few interesting minor creases which add character to the piece's disposition. The canvas can be easily shipped, transported and stored thanks to pliability of un-stretched canvas.. This piece was completed in April- May 2018 and after some curing, was sealed with a polyacrylic. Size: 47 W x 23.5 H x 0.5 D in.
