This is an Exceptionally Nice Antique Sterling Silver Mustard Pot & Spoon Set. It Comes From the Classic American Aesthetic Victorian Period. The Mustard Pot Being Completely Made by Hand is Signed - Was Made by The Gorham Silver Company and Marked Sterling. Note! That it Also has a "E" Gorham Date Letter Indicating that it was Made in 1872. The Spoon ( Not Original With The Pot - is Actually a Bit Older ) and is a is Signed - Has a Dominick & Haff Silver Company Hallmark. Note! That the Interior of the Mustard Pot as well as The Bowl of the Spoon have a Lovely Gold Wash Finish. The Front of the Mustard Pot Has a Fancy Hand Engraved Letter M for Mustard ?. The Spoon has a Fancy Hand Engraved 3 Letter Monogram that I Could Not Decipher ?. The Mustard Pot Itself ( Not Including The Spoon ) Has a Substantial Solid Sterling Silver Weight of 2.206 Troy Ounces. PLEASE TAKE NOTE! That the Body of The Pot is Done in a Satin Gilt Surface Finish - Was Never Meant to be Highly Polished so Please Be Advised at the Risk of Altering its Original Intention. The Lid and the Handle Have a Standard Smooth Surface - Was Meant to be Highly Polished. These 2 Different Surface Finishes were done to Give it a bit of a Mixed Meal Look.
The Pot Measures 3 1/2 Inches Tall x 2 3/4 Inches Long x 2 1/16 Inches Wide.
The Spoon Measures 2 1/4 Inches Long x 7/8 inch Wide at Bowl.
