The front is Decorated with the New Jersey Merchants Name - Reads as Follows LOEW?S BROS & CO. WHOLESALE LIQUOR DEALERS JERSEY CITY, N.J. Back in the day these type of jugs were on loan to customers from Dry Goods - Grocery stores, Retail Establishments Etc. as They Could be Used and Refilled. It is in Very Good Condition with No Cracks - No Repairs. Note! that it Does Have Small Chips Around the Bottom & Top Rim Perimeters But These are Quite Normal - Are to to be Expected with This Type of Utilitarian Stoneware. .
