C.1996-2000; Original "To the Trade, represented Line by Gregorius Pineo, take on, inspire and strongly influenced nuances of the wonderful world of "Salterini," is this hand-forged, twig iron metal bench, named "Tuilerie Bench." Style and/or Production Pattern #9047, and still current to the Line. An intricate lattice-wrapped or lattice-strapped metal bench, with sculptural, and industrial interact yet simplistic attributes abound. A nod to the Brutalist period, as well as the ever coveted Giacometti-style, artisanal is at the forefront, and goes hand in hand with the design within the foremost function, followed by that form. An eclectic piece of craftsmanship and design. Made to be used for indoor use, sun room, covered patio or portico's, family room, entry foyer, under a console, inclusive into any dynamic and oeuvre. Minimalist, Brutalist, Industrial, Transitional,contemporary, BUT a very FRENCH inspired, or after the Italian Master of outdoor wrought iron/steel patio furniture of Salterini, much revered and coveted design then and currently,, but a biomorphic umbrella of all the above aforementioned influence(s), to form this design of supreme sculptural divinity. Ball feet protectors, as close-up image indicates, including the finish other in shadow or direct sun, to showcase the change in the coloration of the finish given direct light, vs. out of direct sunlight.
