Description: Beautiful Mother of Pearl Inlay Cigarette Holder and Brass Zodiac Ashtray. Scene on top depicts people working the land, birds … more Beautiful Mother of Pearl Inlay Cigarette Holder and Brass Zodiac Ashtray. Scene on top depicts people working the land, birds flying, ducks and lily pads in the pond, various trees, barns, oxen working and more. Chipping on underside (shown in picture). Mother of Pearl intact and coated with a smooth lacquer. Bottom is not chipped and in excellent condition. Vibrant hues of color from the shell carvings. Cherry wood box with a high gloss finish. Handmade. Great for smoking conversation or as a decorative piece.

The interior of the box is organized with the ashtray on the left-hand side. The center department is to hold a box of matches. The right-hand side has a large compartment with a lid to hold cigarettes. The lid is also inlaid with mother of pearl.

The brass ashtray is decorated with the Asian zodiac calendar.
