This Gustav Klimt rare vintage 1986 offset lithograph print Paris museum exhibition poster " La Vierge " 1913, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The exhibition poster print is published by The Centre Georges Pompidou Paris, printed in France in 1986 in an unnumbered limited edition by S.N.I.M.L. Paris, on the occasion of the exhibition " Vienne 1880 - 1938 Naissance D'un Siecle ". It features an artwork image originally created by Klimt in 1913 titled " la Vierge " ( The Virgin ), courtesy of Nardon Galerie Prague.
Gustave Klimt ( 1862 - 1918 ) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and of the most prominet members of The Vienna Secession movement. Klimt was one of the most radical artists of The Twentieth Century. Through his intensely decorative and erotic style, he pushed the boundaries of traditional artistic convention, paving the way for Modernists of the future.
The rare out of print offset lithograph Paris exhibition poster measures 27 1/2" W X 19 3/4" H. It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling.
