This Victorian silver embossed bedside clock features a brass body clock complete with a brass-cased timepiece and lever escapement along with a solid sterling silver face embossed with decorative flowers. The heavy brass case has an attractive engine turning with decorative wave pattern at the rear. The enamel dial is decorated with scrolling numerals and a smaller second hand dial.
Additionally, the clock comes with its original travel, or display case, that has two swing arm doors and is wrapped in green velvet.
This clock was made by the Douglas Clock Company in Birmingham, England at the turn of century, circa 1900. This item was dated and authenticated using the hallmarks located on the bottom edge of the front face
