One stained hairline on one dinner plate (picture 4). It extends from the face of the plate, over the rim and to the underside. It does not appear to effect the integrity of the plate at this time. We poured boiling hot water into the well of the plate, and there was no seepage
There are no chips nor any other cracks nor hairlines nor crazing
The dinner plates have heavy utensil marks, some of which cannot be seen unless held to the light
The other pieces range from light to medium-ish utensil marks
Discolored scuffing on rims and underside bottom feet
From the date codes on the bottoms, most pieces were made in 1970 and 1971

We are unsure if this pattern was procured by a restaurant and used as such, or "simply" a design created by the manufacturer for general sale. The center illustration is almost exact to a souvenir ashtray procured by the Ivanhoe Restaurant of Chicago. Also similar is the overall style of the dinnerware once used there. The Ivanhoe Restaurant's theme was Sherwood Forest, and has a main center image surrounded by vignettes from that era. Printed all in green and produced by McNicol China, their dinnerware is clearly marked for the restaurant. We have been unable to ascertain any other information about this pattern.
