Description: We are selling this very interesting and rare Chinese glazed model of a rams pen. This piece of pottery is … more We are selling this very interesting and rare Chinese glazed model of a rams pen. This piece of pottery is done in the Han style, but is probably later, possibly Ming Period, with heavy porcelain or stoneware body and green glaze that has become iridescent due to being buried. The crazing and discoloration to the glaze is common on the early Han pieces as many were made for use in burial tombs. The small pen has large thick walls and three adult rams and two younger rams all with horns and stylized bodies.

Condition: Heavy wear typical of having been excavated, a few small repaired chips.
