Rare pair of signed wood and upholstered stools/ottomans by celebrity designer Phyllis Morris. Heavy and substantial, these were crafted from the finest wood material and handmade in her Beverly Hills design studio in the 1960s. Wood is painted a cream base with a brown glaze overlay. They have beautiful lines that work with many styles of today.
The upholstery cushions are 5.5" thick and in good condition, no rips or tears and likely original. The tops are removable.

There are a visible signatures on the underside of the ottomans.
No other similar listings, this is a collector item. Phyllis Morris was an American furniture designer known for her colorful persona, her outspokenness on decorating and her distinctive furniture and interior designs. She was often referred to by the media as the "designer to the stars."
