Each sconce takes ten candelabra light bulbs for a total of twenty. Each light bulb can use up to max of 60 watts. We recommend using LED lights because it they help preserve antique fixtures longer. Antique sconces have to be adapted to modern houses. Please check with your electrician or contractor for additional specifics regarding installation. They have a wire in the back to hang them like picture frames. After being hung, they need to be screwed at the bottom for additional support. Your contractor will know what screws to use depending on the type of wall. These sconces were mold made so there might be some slight imperfections. However, that add to the uniqueness and beauty of the sconces. One of the arms does have an old repair but it is stable. There is patina and small scratches on the bronze due to the antiqueness.
