The Basket is … more This is an Exceptionally Nice Antique Hand Made - Woven American Country Primitive Handled - Carry Basket. The Basket is Very Strong - Substantially Made out of Heavy Gauge Indigenous Brown Ash. I Believe that the Handle is Made Out of Steam Bent Oak. It has Very Fine Detail in the Making - Workmanship. This Basket was Varnished Many Years Ago and The Color has Evolved in to a Wonderful Dark Honey Color - Patina. It Displays Beautifully. I purchased this Basket on one of my recent picking trips in the Down East - Coastal Maine Region. It is in Excellent Condition.
The Basket itself Measures at the Top Rim is 5 inches Tall.
It Measures Approx. 8 1/4 Tall including the Handle x 9 1/2 inches Long x 8 3/4 inches Wide.
