Antique English Royal Doulton Flow Cobalt Blue & Red Floral Design 9 1/4” Plate with Gold Trim in the “Nankin” Pattern.
Beautiful Plate in very good condition. No cracks or chips in the plate. One minute indentation on the edge and another on the back that appear to have occurred during the manufacturing process. One 1” area on the rim appears to have lost its paint during the manufacturing process as seen in the photos. The Plate was found in the Estate of a Washington, DC Antiques Dealer about 10 years ago.
The Plate was made in 1897 based on the manufacturer’s labeling on the back of the plate “A9242”. This means this Fine Earthenware Plate was made when the serial numbers (9145-9617) were produced in 1897.
The Plate measures 9 1/4” Wide x 7/8” Tall. It weighs 14.36 oz or 407 grams. less
