This " Visions of Paris " Robert Delaunay's Series " rare vintage 1997 first edition Guggenheim Museum large format Modern Art exhibition book is a very special and unique book to add to your library collection.
The softcover exhibition art book is published by Guggenheim Museum Publications, printed in 1997 on the occasion of the exhibition at The Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin and The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum New York. It features a monograph survey of the artworks of Robert Delaunay.
An exhibition of Robert Delaunay's ( 1885 - 1941 ) series, the Paris born Modernist artist, is an idea full of resonance for The Guggenheim Museum. His achievements have always been related to those fo his Cubist colleagues, and this exhibition helped to individualize his contributions to Modernism, he not only added dimension to the structural innovations of Cubism, he also produced imaginative views of The Modern City of Paris conveyed in a Modern Art style.
" Visions of Paris : Robert Delaunay's Series " was curated by Mark Rosenthal curator of 20th Century Art. This exhibition book is enhanced by the insightful contribution of associate curator Matthew Drut, who has introduced a good deal of new insights on Delaunay's art.
The rare out of print 1st edition large format exhibition art book measures 10" W X 13" H X 1/2" D, with 147 pages. It is printed on high quality paper stock featuring 101 illustrations, poems by Guilliame Apollinaire, and letters to Kandinsky, Franz Marc, and Auguste Macke by Robert Delaunay.
