A beautiful rare set of four American Walnut, Vladimir Kagan Sculpted Sling Dining Chairs, in black leather. This spectacular set of American walnut dining chairs consists of two VK 101 side chairs, and two VK 101A arm chairs. Signed with branded Manufacturer’s Mark to underside of two side chairs. (Kagan Dreyfuss A Vladimir Kagan Design)
These beautiful chairs with their graceful arching frame feature a leather sling back that flows from the top of the back rail to the padded leather seat and framed in American walnut. The slight backward angle of the legs and seat and the graceful sculpted arm accentuate both comfort and the “less is more” signature Kagan flair for design.
The warm American walnut framed has mellowed into a rich warm brown enhancing the contrast of the black leather seats and back. Vladimir Kagan’s work was known for his organic shapes and superior craftsmanship and these chairs are infused with his eye for design and his demand for comfort. This rare set of American mid-century Sculpted Sling chairs will be a welcome addition and enhance any modern classic home or office.
