BIO:
Kamil Kubik, Czech/American (1930 - 2011)
Kamil Kubik was an impressionist painter who was born in Czechoslovakia and studied and worked in Prague, London, Sydney, San Francisco and New York. He is best known for his city scapes and magnificent florals. He spent most of his time in the New York area, Washington, D.C., and Paris, painting directly from nature. Kubik was the official artist for several US golf and tennis open tournaments. His work appeared on the covers of M.D. Magazine, Reader's Digest, and Worth Avenue Magazine. He did a book, "City Scapes", for the Grumbacher Company. He did the official White House Christmas card in 1991 and 1992. He had also been honored both by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations with their renowned "Ellis Island Medal of Honor".
Kamil Kubik's works are included in the collections of: President George Bush, President Gerald Ford, Mrs. Lyndon Johnson, Prince Ranier of Monaco, Governor Thomas Kean, Mr. Paul Mellon, Mr. Charles Allen, Jr., Mrs. Jack Kent Cooke, Mr. George Farkas, Mr. Richard Grasso, Mr. Joe Torre, New York Life Insurance, Mr. Donald Trump, Count de la Lanne-Mirrlees, Mr. Robert Sarnoff, Mr. Larry Silverstein, Mr. and Mrs. E.
