This is an original female nude drawing by artist John Alfred Begg. Begg was born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on June 23, 1903, and died in 1974. John Begg's work is represented at the Indiana Museum of Modern Art, the Addison Gallery of American Art, Andover Massachusetts, the Hudson River Museum, Yonkers, New York, and the New York Public Library.
This monochromatic drawing is done in black ink. The figure is seen lounging with her leg crossed and back towards the viewer. The large white mat and silver frame really compliment the black and grey artwork.
