It is a rare piece as it had limited circulation at the time. It features a Chanel white woven quilted "toque" (hat) design in anarticle showing the latest haute couture hat creations. Done in black and white, it is illustrated by Leon Begnini, a highly respected illustrator and lithographer who did extensive work in fashion illustration. He was commissioned to do fashion illustrations for some of the most famous names in fashion design such as Chanel, Lucien Lelong, and Patou. His work appeared in high society French fashion magazines with Parisienne clientele. This image has wonderful clarity. Clean and pristine. 8.5 x 10 inches in size.
