Minute wear due to age and period of manufacture. We will take the liberty to have the old lacquer removed, and professionally lacquer-sealed for many generations to follow, as one can see the patina is no discoloration or wear to brass, but the overlay lacquer. Absolutely no pitting whatsoever.

C.1960's; Rare Mid-Century, Koch & Lowy "OMI," streamlined, cantilevered, articulating brass desk lamp designed by Anthony Howard for Koch + Lowy. An exceptional example of an earlier version, from a Lighting Manufacture, well revered, with an esteemed following and collection worthy. The maker's markings and brand name s on the neck near the shade, engraved, with Koch + Lowy ad adjacent to it the "OMI," name and/r version of the cantilever desk lamp, also on the underside with a weight cast iron base, with he Koch + Lowy name. The shade and/or lamp head articulates 360 degrees, twists sideways, to the right and left, up and down, to desired angle. Original wiring, takes fluorescent plug-in tube lighting. The quintessential Mad Men lighting task, desk lamp. Perfect for any office, den, etc. We took the liberty in replacing the turn with to an original one, as some of the images will showcase the larger, not combative one as well as the new one, which is compatible to original one. We have left original lacquer on the lamp, hence why that patina shows, but we plan on professionally, having it re-lacquered, to preserve the brass plating/finish. Others no pitting, just brass aged patina. From an Upstate, NY Estate.
