This Sol LeWitt Estate rare 2015 lithograph print Josef Albers Museum custom framed Minimalist exhibition poster " Seven Basic Colors and all their Combinations in a Square within a Square " 2004, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print exhibition poster is published by The Josef Albers Museum Quadrat Bottrop, printed in Germany in 2015 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an artwork image originally created by LeWitt in 2004 titled " Seven Basic Colors and all their Combinations in a Square within a Square, Line Drawing 1176. for Josef Albers ", copyright 2004 The Estate of Sol LeWitt.
Solomon " Sol " LeWitt ( 1928 - 2007 ) was an American artist of a Russian Jewish background, linked to various movements, including Conceptual Art and Minimalism. LeWitt came to fame in the late 1960's with his Wall Drawings and " Structures " but was prolific in a wide range of mediums including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, installation, and artist's books. Artworks by LeWitt have been the subject of hundreds of solo exhibitions in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries around the world since 1965.
The rare out of print framed Minimalist exhibition poster measures 25 1/8" W X 34 7/8" H X 3/4" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte satin finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition. It is brand newly custom farmed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
