The "only," restorative thing done was to fully, sand-blast the frame and re-powder-coat the steel frames, seal them, while changing and updating the textile which had 2 different layers of textile, in addition to the original orange and cream vinyl on the corresponding seats. For today's standard's, we decided to choose to conform the textile to the same coloration, along with the frame, for longevity, the quality of the frame, shape and finish dictates as such, given with a designer's attentive eye to the restoration, bringing these fabulous stools into this century, and back to vitality, but retain the original frames intentive look and use, as in the original production. less

Vintage: C.1950s, Original Frederick Weinberg, rare, powder-coated counter/bar stools with a "To the Trade," vinyl textile by Brentano, called "Mineral." with self-welted detail. The textile mimics the exact nature of shale mineral walls, with a quasi undertone of bronze, and a charcoal to dark gray tone on tone coloration with the tick marks of the sales of shale mineral. Brentano is a textile line which has been represented in Donghia Showrooms throughout the "To the Trade, " Design Centers in North America, and represented by Agents. The steel frames have been sand-blasted, freshly powder-coated and sealed by professional refinishers, along with the updated textile. Also in replacing the old orange and cream vinyl, which were original to the stools vinyl seat tops. They were not salvageable with the burn and/or stain marks, that were unremovable, BUT we also wanted to restore these wonderful pics from the Mid-Century era, and take them into the realm of today's interior capabilities, for many more years to come. In excellent condition, fully restored for many more years to come. The rarity of these stools, are that one normally sees "just," the hairpin legs, not the "circular surround to the ends and/or base of the stools, a structural aspect as well as a visual design aspect.
Diameter Base: 17"Dia.

* (newly re-upolstered in a Bentano,"To the Trade," Textile, called Mineral, a tone on tone dark gray/charcoal with the nuances look mimicked in the production to look like shales of walled mineral).* less
