Isn’t the painting just … so French… so skillfully executed, so gorgeous?

As you can see, the wrought iron is in super condition, with its original deep brown-black patina. Nicely hammered embellishments throughout.

I’ve always thought the material painted (in reverse, on the back) is glass, but close inspection suggests that it’s some kind of (early!) plastic. Monsieur or Madame DATTY, painter des fleurs extraordinaire, was on the cutting edge…

The tray is backed with its original finished, high-quality wood in good condition (some staining around the edge over about 5 or 6 inches). At first glance it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
