Today this is suburban area … Read more This is an antique map of Triel, known today as Triel-sur-Seine, Ile de France, France. Today this is suburban area to the capital city of Paris. The map dates to the 1st half of the 1800’s. It is one of a series that we purchased in Paris. We loved the unusual graphic borders of the map which add interest and detail. The map has a faint embossed hand stamp under the border design indicating that the map was published by the Department of the Military as an historical archive showing plans and topography of the region. The stamp unfortunately is too faint to show in my photographs but can be felt and seen in person. The map is in very good antique condition commensurate with age and history. 18.5 x 15.5 Please see other maps in this series offered in our shop. As a grouping they make a striking decor statement.
