Daikoku is … Read more Fine Japanese statuette or figurine of Daikoku, God of Wealth and Good Luck in Japanese and Chinese cultures. Daikoku is seated on a large money bag and two bags of rice and holds his magic mallet in one hand. His robe is beautifully decorated with colors and gold in traditional Japanese design. Hand made and hand painted. Nearly excellent condition - minor age wear on finish and bottom of the base, barely visible repair of left hand. Heavy, sturdy, clean. Very fine art work. Comes from an old collection of Asian Art. Japan, Meiji era, circa 1900-1920s. See less
