A vintage milk bucket, likely from Southampton, used for hand-milking cows.
Made of steel with brass bands and handles. Used to collect raw milk. Late used as fuel bucket in modern days mostly as a planter. Could also be used for general storage or as a decorative item. This item is really heavy.
The word "SOUTHAMPTON" is embossed on the bucket, along with " Brown and Harrison "
The bucket shows signs of wear and age.
It's a piece of dairy farming history. Used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and later a fuel bucket
The brass bands add to its aesthetic appeal.
Measures 13.5 in diameter" in width, 15.5" in height to the top of the handles
