Made of bizen stoneware in the late Edo period, noted for its reddish hue and largely unglazed surface, produced in the Bizen region of Okayama Prefecture, known for its rustic, reddish-brown appearance. With Hidasuki (fire stripe) and Goma (sesame seed) effects, these inherent characteristics enhance the wabi-sabi aesthetic. With a wajima lacquer lid.
