- Here is an exquisite piece made by hand in the late 19th/early 20th century which is beautifully inlaid with yellow-orange … more Here is an exquisite piece made by hand in the late 19th/early 20th century which is beautifully inlaid with yellow-orange natural stones, mother or pearl and brass ribbons. Almost every inch of this piece is decorated! The top shows a peacock and dragon facing each other. The dragons teeth, eyes, claws and neck detail are the mother of pearl. You can see that the scales are perfectly cut stones! The peacock has just as much detail and care! The plumes are wonderfully splayed and individual stone pieces create the wispy feathers! The sides and drawers have geometric stone inlaid patterns as well as brass swirled, inlaid details. There are 4 total drawers, that are lined in an Asian silk fabric. This is a stunning, collector's piece which is perfect for showcasing a treasured piece or used on top of another table as the show-stopper itself! less
