A French Japonisme style pedestal or plant stand, with sturdy bamboo frame and slightly curved root end feet and decorative bamboo shoot trim around top perimeter. Bottom shelf made of rosewood marquetry created using a traditional Japanese wood inlay technique called Yosegi. In good condition with one piece of corner trim missing. Circa 1930-1960.
