This small … Read more A 17th century Chinese statue of an official made from glazed terracotta during the Ming or Qing dynasties. This small statue displays a man standing and holding an offering bowl and was molded with terracotta and glazed. The green and brown glaze partially covers the figure while the clay is visible elsewhere, including his head and the cuffs of his coat. The clothes and headdress identify the character as a Chinese official. Such statues were common during the Ming and Qing dynasties. This Chinese 17th century glazed terracotta statue of an official will certainly be a tremendous conversation starter in any home. The head comes off as shown. See less
