Born on the Island of Java during the early years of the 20th century, this large blanket chest, made of sturdy teak wood, features a rectangular top made of two independent panels, accented with nailheads. These panels can be removed to reveal a two-sectioned compartment, perfect to store blankets or other items. Raised on wheels hidden behind carved motifs, the chest presents lateral handles. With its large proportions and lovely teak patina, this Javanese blanket chest will bring a strong presence to any decor, whether used in a bedroom or living room. See less
